At 17 years-old TJ started in the automotive business as a lot tech and detailer in 1998.
Soon he had his own mobile business repairing vehicles, and shortly after that he became the first employee/General Manager for Auto Source Motors.
In 2009, he struck out on his own and formed TJ Chapman Auto as a car dealership and collision center.
In 2015 his mother, Lori Chapman joined him as the General Manager of TJ Chapman Auto.
She recalls TJ saying to her when she first started, "if we tell the truth, we never have to remember what we've said, if we are transparent about everything we sell we will build a strong reputation that seperates us from the rest of the dealers."
